Services

We design roads, streets, neighbourhoods and everything around them – from the first site visit to the day the contractor finishes. Here is how we can help.

Roads

Roads – from idea to construction

  • Concept design – the first options for the alignment and junctions, so you can choose a direction before money goes into detail.
  • Technical design – the full calculations and drawings: pavement structure, drainage, structures. This is what the building permit is issued on.
  • Detailed design – the documents the contractor builds from, with bills of quantities and specifications.
  • Traffic management – signs, road markings and signals, including temporary arrangements during the works.
  • Designer’s supervision – we come to the site during construction and resolve questions on the spot.

Example: Polenitsa – Golyam Tsalim road, 6.4 km →

Streets

Urban streets and junctions

  • New and rebuilt streets – carriageway, pavements, kerbs and drainage, together with water mains, sewers and lighting.
  • Junctions – redesigning dangerous junctions, roundabouts and traffic lights.
  • Pedestrians and cyclists – pavements, pedestrian zones, cycle lanes and traffic calming.
  • Safety – signs, markings and layouts that make traffic clearer and safer.

Examples: traffic lights in Svilengrad → · Lauta St., Plovdiv →

Neighbourhoods and squares

Between the blocks, in the park, on the square

  • Housing estates – parking, walkways, playgrounds and sports areas, lighting and greenery, designed as one whole.
  • Squares – paving, lighting, benches and planting for the central places of a town.
  • Parks and green spaces – places to relax and play sport, with suitable local trees and shrubs.
  • Accessibility – dropped kerbs, tactile paving and parking for people with disabilities.

Examples: Yug neighbourhood, Svilengrad → · G. Benkovski estate, Yambol → · Sini Kamani estate, Sliven →

Networks and structures

Everything under and around the road

  • Retaining walls – stabilising steep and landslide-prone sections.
  • Water and sewer – new networks and replacement of old ones – ideally together with the street works, so nothing is dug up twice.
  • Street lighting and power – new poles, park lighting, lit pedestrian crossings.
  • Surveys of existing structures – assessing what can be kept and what needs repair or replacement.

Plans

Zoning plans and transport layouts

  • Before anything is built, the plan often has to change first. We help with that too:
  • Detailed development plan (PUP) – the plan that sets what can be built and where.
  • PUP–PR – changing the street layout, for example to widen a street or give a plot new access.
  • PUP–PUR – a plan for a new street network, for example for a new residential area.
  • Transport layouts – how cars and pedestrians will move under the new plan.

Example: new streets in Trakia, Plovdiv →

Consulting

Not sure where to start?

  • Before the design – we look at the plot or site and tell you what is possible and what will be needed.
  • A second look – we review an existing design and suggest where it could be simpler or more economical.
  • During construction – technical opinions and support when questions come up on site.
  • Permits and approvals – we tell you which permits and approvals you need and in what order.
